Whoson is a tool that can be used by any business that has a web site.
It allows you to watch visitor activity on your web site in real time AND it allows your visitors to chat to operators within your business as they are browsing.
You can watch visitors arrive at your site in real time and move from page to page. You can instantly view information about the visitor, such as:
IP Address
DNS Name
GEO-IP (Country, City & Region)
Organization name
How the visitor found you (the referrer)
How many times they have been to your site before (you can quickly view details of all previous visits)
All previous chat transcripts
Whoson will also inform you in real time of any page errors or other exceptions.
Whoson can also be setup to detect 'Prospects' and 'Customers' by watching which pages a visitor is requesting. You can run reports on the number of prospects and customers detected against criteria such as referrers and keywords.
Whoson also allows historical reporting. Not only does it show a 'live' view of your web site, but you can run web analytic reports in the same was as traditional 'log analyzer' products.
Whoson can track your web site visitors using the standard log files from your web server, or by using embedded code in your web pages themselves (this is often referred to as 'page tagging').
Whoson is available as two options:
Installable
You can buy the Whoson server outright and run it on your own PC. This is a totally self contained solution and uses no external services, so has no on-going costs. The Installable edition enables you to monitor live stats and provide visitor chat on any number of web sites. The Installable edition requires you to have a Windows 2000/2003 Server with a dedicated Internet connection.
Hosted Service
This is the same product as the Installable edition, except we run the Whoson server here for you and you download and run the Whoson 'Client'. The Hosted Services gives the same features. It is easy to setup and can be used on any web site, regardless of how it is hosted.
